Our client is ramping up its Pilot Test Line and Manufacturing activities in Luxembourg. During this critical phase, multiple infrastructure projects and operational activities are being executed simultaneously to support the installation, commissioning and operation of production and test equipment.

As the permanent Facilities Engineer is expected to join later this year, we are looking for a contractor who will act as the local Facilities representative on site and provide day-to-day operational support to the Facilities Engineering & Operations team.

The contractor will be the primary local point of contact for infrastructure-related activities, ensuring smooth coordination between contractors, equipment suppliers and the manufacturing teams.


Main Responsibilities Site Coordination

  • Act as the local Facilities representative for the Pilot Test Line.
  • Provide daily on-site presence across both Kockelscheuer halls.
  • Monitor ongoing infrastructure activities and identify potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Escalate technical or operational risks to the Facilities Manager.
  • Perform regular walkthroughs to ensure infrastructure readiness.

Contractor Management

  • Coordinate daily activities with external contractors.
  • Organize and attend site meetings.
  • Prepare work permits when required.
  • Follow up on corrective actions until completion.
  • Verify quality of completed works before acceptance.
  • Ensure contractors comply with site safety rules.

Infrastructure Support

Support the implementation and operation of infrastructure including:

  • HVAC systems
  • Cooling systems
  • Electrical distribution
  • Compressed air network
  • Nitrogen distribution
  • Exhaust and extraction systems
  • Facility monitoring systems
  • General building services

Assist the manufacturing team in resolving infrastructure-related requests and coordinate with the appropriate vendors.

Project Follow-up

Track the progress of ongoing infrastructure projects such as:

  • Equipment installations
  • Utility connections
  • Mechanical works
  • Electrical works
  • Facility upgrades

Maintain action lists and ensure agreed deadlines are respected. Vendor Coordination

  • Contact suppliers (in coordination with the Procurement team) for quotations and technical interventions.
  • Schedule maintenance activities.
  • Coordinate emergency interventions when required.
  • Follow up purchase requests related to facility services.

Operational Support

Support day-to-day facility operations by:

  • Responding to infrastructure requests from production teams.
  • Coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
  • Monitoring the status of critical utilities.
  • Reporting abnormalities affecting facility performance.
  • Assisting during equipment installation and commissioning.

Reporting

Provide regular updates to the Facilities Manager including:

  • Daily site status
  • Progress of ongoing works
  • Risks and mitigation actions
  • Open issues requiring management decisions
  • Weekly summary of completed activities


Expected Workload

The role is expected to support multiple parallel activities, including:

  • Daily coordination of contractors working on both production halls.
  • Follow-up of approximately 10–20 ongoing infrastructure actions at any given time.
  • Participation in technical coordination meetings with Manufacturing, Engineering and external suppliers.
  • Daily response to facility requests from production teams.
  • Monitoring installation activities related to new equipment and utilities.
  • Coordination of maintenance interventions and emergency requests.
  • Administrative follow-up of quotations, work orders and action lists.

The workload will evolve as the Pilot Test Line ramps up and additional manufacturing equipment is installed.


Required Qualifications

  • Technical background in Facilities Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Building Services.
