Blockchain Reconciliation Manager

Our client is an innovative integrated stablecoin startup, backed by a well-established and leading group, currently expanding its operations in Luxembourg (approx. 15 people). As part of this expansion, the company obtained a Luxembourg-regulated EMI and CASP license. As one of the first hires in Luxembourg, you will play a pivotal role in setting up the local office and establishing robust operations within a fast-evolving cryptocurrency environment.

Your role

• The Blockchain Reconciliation Manager plays a vital role in verifying that daily fund transfers across wallets and bank accounts are completely reconciled.
• In order to develop an automated end-to-end reconciliation system, you assist the team in refining the workflow, adapting it to incorporate new product rollouts, investigating daily discrepancies, and analyzing unreconciled items to determine future actions.
• This position requires strong analytical abilities to provide leadership with clear, precise summaries of daily reconciliation percentages, highlight primary drivers of discrepancies, and identify areas that need further review.
• You will collaborate with the Reconciliation product team in the USA while directly supporting the Company management group based in Luxembourg.

Your Responsibilities

• Comprehend the complete end-to-end automated reconciliation system from a technical and engineering standpoint.
• Manage and execute the daily investigation of any unreconciled Company transactions.
• Prepare and submit daily reconciliation status updates to the authorized management team.
• Support the continuous optimization of the Reconciliation platform by converting operational insights into clear remediation plans.
• Confirm that all newly introduced products are fully integrated into the automated end-to-end reconciliation workflow.
• Present reconciliation findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership and external bodies, such as the Board, Audit Committee, and the CSSF.

Your profile

• 7+ years experience in payments operations, reconciliations
• Very strong to excellent SQL skills - (Live SQL assessment will be part of the interview.)
• At ease in working across different systems and handling large volume of data
• Solid understanding of accounting principles, banking system and structure of data
• Experience in working closely with engineers and accounting teams
• Experience in working with international companies
• Fluent in English
• Experience in EMI/PI
• Solid understanding of Blockchain and structure of data
• Fluency in English required
