Leudelange, Luxembourg OQ Technology Temps plein

With our satellite 5G constellation, OQ Technology is a global leader in IoT communication connectivity and associated services. We are a venture capital-backed company with a successful track record of satellite launches and are the first company in the world to disrupt the telecommunications industry by merging cellular 5G with satellites.

Our technology has significant implications for the Oil & Gas, Maritime, Industry 4.0, and Transport sectors, particularly in the management and tracking of assets in remote and rural areas and in extending 5G coverage through non-terrestrial networks.

As our wireless technologies continue to evolve and earn multiple awards, with funding for the next phase secured and strong commercial traction demonstrated, we are now looking to onboard a Product Assurance & Quality Assurance Engineer to join our engineering team in Luxembourg and contribute to the continued growth and success of our organization.

The role provides product assurance and quality assurance across all internal projects, covering satellite payload development, spacecraft platform interfaces, ground segment, user terminals, firmware, and software. The engineer applies ECSS-based assurance practice proportionately to each project, maintains the quality management system, and acts as the PA/QA interface to customers, partners, and suppliers.

Tasks

  • Maintain product assurance plans and apply them across projects, tailoring assurance activity to mission class, project risk, and schedule.
  • Flow down PA/QA requirements to suppliers and subcontractors, and perform supplier assessment, source inspection, and surveillance of subcontracted hardware, firmware, and software activities.
  • Manage the non-conformance process, including raising, dispositioning, and closing non-conformance reports, requests for waiver, and requests for deviation, and chair non-conformance review boards.
  • Maintain the alert and anomaly reporting process, including assessment of ESA alerts and supplier notifications against OQ hardware, component, and software baselines.
  • Maintain the quality management system and ISO 9001 certification, conduct internal audits, and track corrective and preventive actions to closure.
  • Define and witness mandatory and key inspection points during assembly, integration, and test; verify test readiness, witness test execution, and accept test results against approved procedures.
  • Compile and control end item data packages, as-built configuration records, acceptance data packages, and certificates of conformity.
  • Perform or coordinate dependability and safety analyses, including FMECA, worst-case analysis, reliability prediction, and maintenance of the critical items list.
  • Manage EEE component assurance, including part selection, procurement control, screening, derating, lot traceability, and radiation and lifetime justification for the intended orbit and mission duration, including justification of COTS parts where used.
  • Control materials, mechanical parts, and processes, including cleanliness, ESD control, and workmanship standards.
  • Apply software and firmware product assurance to flight, payload, and ground developments, including criticality classification, review evidence, and verification of software release records.
  • Verify the integrity of configuration management and verification baselines, including requirement-to-verification traceability and closure of verification documentation.
  • Support project milestone reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR, QR, AR, FRR) with PA/QA data packages, and manage review item discrepancies through to closure.
  • Maintain the PA/QA risk register, escalate assurance risks arising from design or schedule decisions, and report assurance status to management.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, project reviews, and technical proposals and bid responses, including PA/QA plans and compliance matrices.
  • Work within a multidisciplinary team spanning payload, RF, firmware, software, ground segment, and operations. Report regularly on assurance status to the responsible project manager or senior engineer.
