IQ Solutions is a consulting firm specialised in financial services and fund administration, supporting leading institutions in Luxembourg with their operational, risk and compliance challenges. In this context we are looking for an Fund Accounting (FA) Process Business Monitoring Officer to strengthen our client’s Fund Administration function and help secure accurate, timely and compliant NAV production and back‑office processes.
Position overview
As FA Process Business Monitoring Officer, you will be part of the Fund Administration team in Luxembourg and act as the primary liaison between International Operations Centers (IOC) operational teams (transactions, reconciliations, NAV accounting) and the local business unit. You will help secure uninterrupted production, manage issue escalations, validate IOC‑generated NAVs and perform periodic controls on outsourced processes. Through your oversight and analytical skills, you will contribute to accurate, compliant and cost‑efficient services that support the continuity of the Fund Administration function.
Your responsibilities
- Act as the main point of contact between IOC operational teams and the Luxembourg Fund Administration unit for transactional, reconciliation and NAV‑related topics.
- Handle issue escalation from IOC teams and drive the resolution of blocking points to avoid production disruptions.
- Monitor and validate NAVs produced by IOC, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Perform periodic third‑level controls on outsourced transaction, reconciliation and NAV accounting processes, in line with internal control frameworks and best practices.
- Analyse existing operational models and workflows, identify improvement areas and propose changes to management to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Contribute to the definition and implementation of process optimisation and automation initiatives together with cross‑functional teams (IT, Operations, Risk, Compliance, etc.).
- Support the documentation and regular update of procedures, control plans and operational guidelines related to fund accounting and back‑office activities.
- Prepare clear reporting on incidents, controls performed, key risk indicators and remediation actions for management.
- Ensure that service delivery remains cost‑effective, scalable and aligned with client expectations and internal service level agreements.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and promote a culture of operational risk awareness and continuous improvement.
Your profile
- University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in fund administration, fund accounting, financial operations or a similar role, ideally with exposure to NAV production and reconciliations.
- Solid understanding of fund accounting processes (transactions, cash and position reconciliations, NAV calculation) and their associated operational risks.
- Experience in production oversight, middle‑office or a control‑oriented role with responsibility for issue resolution and process improvement is a strong asset.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes and propose pragmatic solutions.
- Good knowledge of internal control frameworks and operational risk concepts; familiarity with the Luxembourg fund industry is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office tools, especially Excel; experience with fund accounting or reconciliation systems is considered an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, comfortable interacting with operational teams, management and cross‑functional stakeholders.
- Structured, detail‑oriented and solution‑driven, with the ability to manage priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Fluency in English (written and spoken) required; knowledge of French or another European language is an advantage.
