We are seeking a skilled and proactive Testing Specialist to join our team in Luxembourg, (near-site & freelance contract). The Testing Specialist will primarily focus on preparing and executing technical work related to the testing of applications. This will be performed under the supervision of a Team Leader, and will include preparing detailed testing reports. The role requires close collaboration with the application/project teams, following procedures set by the Contracting Authorities, during the planning and execution of testing campaigns.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Use project management tools to coordinate testing activities.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on test results to statutory staff, Project Managers, or Project Owners.
  • Set up and develop testing techniques, creating automated test suites.
  • Assess and propose improvements to the testing process, methodology, and tools.
  • Lead and coordinate testing of products delivered by other teams, ensuring compliance with requirements and methodology.
  • Maintain quality plans and ensure accurate, regular reporting.
  • Advise on deviations from expected results and proactively identify potential issues or risks.
  • Prepare automated testing lines wherever possible.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Certification in ISTQB or equivalent certification, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT and testing/evaluation.
  • Solid knowledge of testing methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Experience with service management, project management, or IT management best practices (e.g., Agile, DevSecOps, Prince2, ITIL, etc.).
  • Experience with mobile device and OS compatibility testing (optional but advantageous).
  • Experience in complex application environments.

Technical Expertise:

  • Strong technical knowledge in testing, including test design techniques.
  • Proficiency in using testing tools and understanding test methodologies.
  • Knowledge of change control procedures for tests, including revisions to test cases.

Language Skills:

  • Very good knowledge of English (Level C1) or French (Level C1).
  • Proficiency in both English and French (one at C1 level and the other at B2 level) is preferred.

  • Rapid self-starter with experience working in collaborative team environments.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, particularly in drafting quality and testing result reports.
