About the role:
We are looking for an Experienced Accountant (General Ledger) to manage day-to-day general ledger activities for an international commercial and agri-food company.You will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial operations, supporting reporting processes, and building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
This position offers exposure to a dynamic international environment and involvement in projects such as system implementations and business expansion initiatives.
In this role, you will:
- Perform day-to-day general ledger accounting, bookkeeping, and month-end closing activities
- Support the preparation of annual accounts, management reports, and similar reporting deliverables
- Be responsible for weekly and monthly reporting
- Prepare monthly account reconciliations
- Produce weekly account statements
- Prepare VAT returns
- Prepare quarterly reconciliations with importers (customers)
- Support various projects
- Act as backup for teammates during absences and annual leave
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in general ledger accounting within a dynamic, international environment
- Strong numerical skills and high attention to detail
- Experience in reporting and audit
- Good command of Excel and Word
- IFRS knowledge is a plus
- VAT knowledge is a plus
- Knowledge of Oracle / SAP and US GAAP is an advantage
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
- Additional languages are a plus
- University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Audit
