Overview:
We are seeking an Investment Manager with deal team experience in a Private Equity house to join our dynamic team in Luxembourg. You will be joining the Private Equity investment team (3 professionals) as Investment Manager.
We are a Luxembourg based Private Equity platform with approx. EUR 750 million of assets invested in both direct portfolio companies (65%) and fund of Private Equity funds (35%). We are a family owned structure and we have front-, middle
- and back-office operations based in Luxembourg. The ideal candidate will possess approximately 4-6 years of expertise in Private Equity deal sourcing and selection, Due Diligence, deal execution as well as portfolio company monitoring. We are looking for a professional with hands-on experience in working with portfolio company management as well as having been involved in the deal making side, both acquisition and exit levels. As we are a small team set for growth and currently building up our teams and processes, the ideal candidate is expected to work autonomously yet display strong team working skills.
Key responsibilities
▪ Private Equity portfolio monitoring/management and exits:
- You will be an investment team professional responsible for both i) supporting the team in their monitoring and active management of our participations and ii) monitoring our participations in a couple of key direct investments (mainly majority participations) and indirect investments (mainly PE Funds) in working closely with the portfolio company management, focusing on defining the right business objectives, business plan execution, operational value improvement and working towards a successful exit to optimize returns for our shareholders. You may be our representative on the Board of Directors of these portfolio companies/funds as a function of your experience. ▪ Private Equity investment sourcing and Due Diligence:
- You will contribute and support our investment sourcing and selection for new investment following a traditional Private Equity sourcing and screening process.
- You will contribute to the Due Diligence and deal execution work under the responsibility of the Investment Director and Chief Investment Officer. Qualifications and
experience:
- Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in Private Equity deal team and/or portfolio monitoring team,
- Hands-on experience in working with portfolio company Management and concrete track record of contribution to value creation in portfolio companies and to successful exits execution within an Investment Team,
- Experience in deal sourcing, due diligence and deal execution,
- Strong analytical skills, with a deep understanding of financial modeling under Excel and valuation techniques,
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
- A degree in finance, economics, or a related field; professional certifications (CFA, CAIA) are an advantage.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of French is an asset.
