Control Engineer
We are seeking a freelance Control Engineer to support the development of safety-related software for power electronics control modules within an AUTOSAR-based architecture.
Responsibilities
- Create and validate safety-related software requirements.
- Conduct and support FMEA and FMEDA safety analyses.
- Support verification, validation, safety testing, and safety case development.
- Ensure compliance with ISO 26262 across system and software development activities.
- Develop software for real-time embedded systems through manual coding, AUTOSAR module configuration, or auto-coding from Simulink models.
- Perform software verification and validation activities on test benches and vehicles.
- Generate and maintain software documentation, including design descriptions, test plans, and test reports.
- Provide software development support during testing and validation activities. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Control Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.
- Strong understanding of inverter technologies, failure modes, and functional safety concepts.
- Proven experience with ISO 26262 and safety architecture development.
- Proficiency in MATLAB/Simulink and Embedded C.
- Ability to interpret hardware schematics and software implementations.
- Experience working within a V-model development process.
- Experience in an ASPICE-compliant development environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Professional working proficiency in English.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional and international teams.
