Observability Engineer – Dynatrace / Prometheus / Grafana
Location:
Luxembourg Type of contract : Freelance Contract Start: January 2027 – Mid-March 2027 We are looking for an experienced Observability Engineer to join a technical team and help define and implement a consistent observability strategy across platforms and applications. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry , particularly within Kubernetes/OpenShift environments . Responsibilities
- Define and implement observability solutions across platforms and applications.
- Deploy and manage Dynatrace in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments.
- Work extensively with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and visualization.
- Implement OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing solutions.
- Design and maintain dashboards, alerting mechanisms and SLI/SLOs .
- Monitor Kafka, OpenShift, Keycloak and microservices .
- Implement and optimize Application Performance Monitoring (APM) .
- Perform log correlation and end-to-end troubleshooting .
- Define observability standards and best practices that can be adopted by application teams.
- Provide technical guidance and support to development and platform teams. Profile
- Proven experience as an Observability Engineer, SRE, DevOps Engineer or similar role .
- Strong hands-on expertise with Dynatrace .
- Solid experience with Prometheus and Grafana .
- Good knowledge of Kubernetes and/or OpenShift environments.
- Experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing .
- Strong understanding of APM, monitoring, logging and incident troubleshooting .
- Experience monitoring Kafka, Keycloak and microservices architectures .
- Knowledge of SLI/SLO definition and observability best practices .
- Ability to design scalable and standardized observability solutions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
