Portfolio Manager Directs

Grow with us We are currently looking for a motivated colleague to join our Portfolio Management Team, part of our Alternative Investments & Structuring Department within Alternative Investment – Real Assets. The team is responsible for the management of alternative investment funds (“AIF”) with strategies ranging from fund of funds to direct private equity and debt. The team oversees conducting pre-trade due diligence, execution, as well as of the ongoing monitoring of the existence and performance of the AIFs managed and their investments. Your tasks and responsibilities
- Effectively and responsibly manage investment portfolios to achieve the specified objectives and goals while ensuring compliance with the investment strategy of the mandate.
- Conduct pre-investment due diligence of target alternative investments (review of investment documentation, decision-making, communication with relevant counterparts and record retention).
- Accompany investments over their life cycle: liquidity management, as well as monitoring their existence and performance.
- Conduct initial and periodic due diligence on investment advisors, asset and fund managers.
- Contribute to portfolio management relevant projects, perform mandate specific tasks (reporting, planning,..).
- Support in changes to processes and procedures; collaboration on projects, new products. Your skills and experience
- Two years+ experience in alternative investments an advantage. Prior exposure to direct investments (investment management, valuation, audit) appreciated.
- Master’s degree or equivalent qualification in Finance, Economics or business administration. CFA, CAIA an advantage.
- Good understanding of financial markets and knowledge of financial instruments.
- Highly competitive, quick learner with good communication skills. Client centric and team-player mindset, able to work independently and solution oriented.
- Experience in project management, process efficiencies, automation & standardization.
- Fluency in English. German skills advantageous.
