AIFM Risk Manager
Our client is a well-established alternative investment manager with a strong presence in Luxembourg and a focus on private equity. This is an opportunity for an experienced risk professional to take ownership of the risk management framework as a PRM, working closely with the Conducting Officer and key stakeholders across the business while playing an important role in ensuring regulatory compliance and a strong risk culture.
Your Responsibilities
- Define fund risk profiles, including relevant risks, ESG considerations, mitigants and monitoring processes.
- Develop and perform market and liquidity stress testing relevant to the investment strategy and investor profile.
- Monitor fund risk limits, including market, concentration, liquidity and counterparty risks, ensuring ongoing compliance.
- Collect, analyse and validate risk data, ensuring completeness, consistency and accuracy.
- Act as a key stakeholder in the investment transaction approval process, ensuring investments comply with applicable risk parameters.
- Monitor operational incidents, ensure appropriate remediation and escalation, and support internal and external audit requests.
- Hold the Permanent Risk Management Function and contribute to the design, implementation and monitoring of risk policies, procedures and frameworks.
- Prepare risk reporting for the Management Committee and support risk-related projects, regulatory impact assessments and the development of a strong risk culture.
Your Profile
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in risk management within an AIFM or Management Company in Luxembourg.
- Strong technical knowledge of risk management, with experience of investment risk metrics under AIFMD highly desirable.
- Hands-on and structured approach, with strong attention to detail and the ability to take ownership through to completion.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders and external advisers.
- Highly organised, motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a cross-border team.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and operational risk within the investment management environment.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
