LU XB Luxembourg Temps plein

Location:
Luxembourg Contract: Interim / Contractor Duration: Initial 3–4 month assignment Start: ASAP The Opportunity XB Luxembourg is partnering with a well-established international real estate business to identify an experienced finance professional for an interim assignment within its Luxembourg finance function. The business is currently progressing through the bedding-in phase of a significant finance and property systems transformation and is looking for someone who can provide immediate, hands-on support to ensure financial information is accurate, reconciled and robust following the transition. This is an ideal opportunity for a finance professional with strong real estate accounting experience who enjoys working through complex data issues, investigating discrepancies and bringing structure and accuracy to a changing environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Undertake detailed reconciliation work across financial and property-related information following the systems transition.
- Investigate and resolve outstanding bank reconciliation and balance sheet issues.
- Review migrated balances and ensure supporting schedules and documentation are accurate and complete.
- Compare legacy and current system data, identifying inconsistencies and coordinating their resolution.
- Validate financial information and investigate the underlying causes of discrepancies.
- Assist with the preparation of audit support files and ensure appropriate evidence is available.
- Support the wider finance team in strengthening processes and improving the reliability of data within the new environment.
- Help identify areas where controls, reporting processes or procedures can be enhanced.
- Work independently on issues, taking ownership through investigation, resolution and completion. About You: We are looking for a technically strong and practical finance professional who can make an immediate contribution. You will ideally bring:
- Solid experience in real estate finance, property accounting or real estate investment environments.
- Strong knowledge of financial and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Experience working with large or complex financial datasets and investigating data discrepancies.
- Previous involvement in a finance, ERP or property management systems implementation/migration.
- Experience with MRI Real Estate Software would be a significant advantage.
- A good understanding of financial controls, reporting and audit requirements.
- Experience preparing financial information and supporting documentation for external audit.
- Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- The confidence to work autonomously and challenge discrepancies rather than simply identify them.
- A hands-on, pragmatic approach and the ability to quickly get to grips with a new environment. The Assignment: This is a 3–4 month interim opportunity offering the chance to join a high-profile real estate organisation at an important stage of its finance transformation. The successful candidate will be someone who can quickly add value, get into the detail and help the finance team move from systems implementation towards a stable, controlled and reliable operating environment.
