Paperjam News is looking for a Business and Finance Hotdesk Journalist (m/f/x) with a strong interest in Luxembourg’s business and financial news, digital publishing and fast-paced news production. The successful candidate will help grow the Paperjam brand across all its digital platforms. Responsibilities
- As a Hotdesk Journalist, you will be responsible for the daily coverage of current affairs across Paperjam’s digital platforms.
- You will identify, select and quickly publish the most relevant information for our audiences.
- You will write news articles, briefs, rapid analyses and follow-up content.
- You will contribute to the coordination of our twice-daily newsletter and support the editorial management of our digital platforms.
- You will optimise content for the web, search engines and social media.
- You will work closely with the newsroom team to ensure responsive and consistent news coverage.
- You will monitor content performance and contribute to the continuous improvement of editorial formats.
- You will help identify emerging trends and topics of interest to Luxembourg’s business community. Profile
- You hold a Master’s degree (or equivalent), ideally in journalism, communications or digital media, and have initial experience in digital journalism. You possess a strong news sense and the ability to process information quickly and accurately.
- You are able to work at pace while maintaining high editorial standards.
- You have excellent news judgment and know how to prioritise information effectively.
- You are proficient in digital publishing tools, social media platforms and SEO best practices.
- You are organised, detail-oriented and able to manage multiple topics simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- You enjoy working in a dynamic environment where responsiveness is key.
- You are proactive and keen to contribute ideas that improve editorial processes and audience growth.
- You have excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
- English is your native language, and you are fluent in French, both written and spoken. Knowledge of German and/or Luxembourgish would be considered an asset.
