Junior Accountant

About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our Finance team in Luxembourg. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop accounting expertise within an international environment covering multiple jurisdictions across EMEA. Working closely with the Senior Accountant EMEA, the successful candidate will support day-to-day accounting operations, month-end close activities, financial reporting, and compliance processes. Approximately one year of accounting experience is considered a major asset and will support a faster integration into the role.

Key Responsibilities
• Process and record accounting transactions accurately and on time.
• Support assets and accounts receivable activities.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash-related controls.
• Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and supporting schedules.
• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities.
• Assist with VAT returns and other regulatory or statutory filings.
• Prepare reporting packs and ad hoc financial analyses.
• Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and appropriate supporting documentation.
• Assist with external audit requests and communication with internal stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.
• Contribute to process improvements and finance automation initiatives. Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• A first professional experience in accounting is desirable.
• Approximately one year of accounting experience is considered a major asset.
• Good understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience in an international or multinational environment is considered an advantage.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Technical Skills
• Good command of Microsoft Excel and confidence working with accounting reports and data sets.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems.
• Knowledge of Odoo is considered a strong plus.
• Knowledge of French accounting standards, including the French Plan Comptable Général (PCG), is considered a strong plus.
• Exposure to Luxembourg accounting, VAT, or tax environments is considered an advantage. Language Requirements French Fluent, written and spoken English Good professional working proficiency, written and spoken Skills & Competencies
