About the Role
The focus on documented testing, remediation tracking and assessment of first-line controls reflects current Luxembourg monitoring roles, where the Bank specifically seek experience in second-line testing and assessment of control effectiveness. Responsibilities
• Execute scheduled Financial Crime Compliance monitoring reviews in accordance with the approved annual Compliance Monitoring Programme.
• Perform sample-based testing of financial crime controls, including areas such as:
• Customer Due Diligence (CDD/KYC);
• Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD);
• PEP and sanctions screening;
• ongoing monitoring;
• transaction monitoring/KYT;
• high-risk customers and relationships;
• periodic reviews;
• suspicious activity escalation and reporting processes, where applicable.

• Assess whether controls have been performed in accordance with applicable policies, procedures and regulatory requirements.
• Document testing performed, evidence reviewed and conclusions reached in accordance with established monitoring methodology.
• Identify control weaknesses, exceptions and potential compliance deficiencies and escalate them to senior team members.
• Assist in performing root-cause analysis of identified issues.
• Support the preparation of monitoring reports, including factual findings and supporting evidence.
• Maintain monitoring files and supporting documentation to an appropriate audit and regulatory standard.
• Track agreed remediation actions and follow up with relevant stakeholders on outstanding items.
• Support the production of statistics, KPIs and KRIs.
• Assist with thematic reviews and ad-hoc monitoring exercises arising from emerging risks or regulatory developments.
• Maintain awareness of relevant Luxembourg and EU financial crime regulatory developments.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of monitoring procedures, testing scripts and working papers. Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Ideally 1–3 years of relevant experience within Compliance, AML/CFT, Financial Crime, Internal Control, Risk or Audit in the financial services sector. A strong graduate profile with relevant internships may also be considered depending on the organisation.
• Fluency in English. Required Skills

• Familiarity with Luxembourg AML/CFT requirements and the CSSF regulatory environment;
• Understanding of KYC/CDD/EDD and sanctions concepts;
• Strong analytical and investigative skills;
• Ability to review evidence critically rather than relying solely on process confirmation;
• Strong attention to detail and documentation standards;
• Good written communication skills;
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple monitoring assignments;
