Key responsibilities
• Develop and maintain Python / FastAPI services and AI agent components
• Build and operate LLM, RAG, embeddings and enterprise-search integrations
• Integrate authorised enterprise data sources including SharePoint
• Develop evaluation frameworks for AI quality, groundedness, safety, latency and cost
• Implement safeguards against prompt injection, data leakage and unsafe tool execution
• Troubleshoot production incidents and improve reliability and performance
• Maintain PostgreSQL data models and migrations
• Implement secure authentication using OIDC/OAuth2, JWT and RBAC
• Support Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform and CI/CD
• Improve observability using tools such as OpenTelemetry, Splunk and Prometheus
• Contribute to architecture, code, security and release-readiness reviews
• Produce automated tests, technical documentation and runbooks We’re looking for:
• 5+ years’ software/platform engineering experience
• Strong Python development
• FastAPI, Pydantic and async Python
• PostgreSQL / SQL
• Hands-on LLM / Generative AI experience
• RAG, embeddings, agents, tool calling and enterprise search
• AI evaluation/testing experience
• Strong API/security knowledge – OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, RBAC
• Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, Terraform and CI/CD
• Azure or comparable enterprise cloud experience
• Working knowledge of TypeScript / React
• Professional English Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Microsoft Graph, SharePoint, MCP, AI governance, GDPR, EU AI Act or DORA would be highly desirable. Previous experience within banking, financial services, EU institutions or another regulated environment would also be advantageous. 📍 Luxembourg – Hybrid 📄 Long-term Freelance or CDI opportunity Interested?
