About the Role
In the context of a strong development of its business and significant growth, we are looking to hire an experienced accountant in the team in charge of SPV Administration. The position is based in Luxembourg. The (Senior) Accountant works closely with other accountants of the team under the direct supervision of an accounting manager and the Head of SPV Administration. We are looking for a high performing candidate who can take increasing levels of responsibility over time. Responsibilities Maintain accurate accounting records including day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of SPVs, including acquisitions, disposals, financing activities, accruals, operating expenses, and preparation of quarterly reporting packages Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal procedures, and liaise with auditors for audit completion Prepare weekly cash reconciliations and coordinate with the accounts payable team for the payment of invoices Coordinate with internal teams (Funds, Tax, Legal, Compliance, Deal team), auditors and depositary banks to ensure smooth execution of investment / divestment transactions Assist with the preparation of corporate tax, VAT and withholding tax returns Prepare monthly and quarterly BCL reporting Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and reporting quality Support ad-hoc projects Qualifications Accounting qualification and/or educated to degree level in a finance related discipline Minimum 7 years of experience as an SPV Accountant or in a similar accounting role within the investment funds, private equity, real estate, or financial services environment Required Skills Strong understanding of SPV structures, accounting principles (Luxembourg GAAP), transactions and financial reporting requirements Proficiency with Excel and integrated systems dedicated to the investment management industry like eFront or equivalent (Investran, Allvue, etc.). Knowledge of PowerBI would be a plus High level of attention to detail with a deadline-driven mindset Ability to build and develop relationships with internal/external stakeholders as well as previous experience working with auditors Curious, willing to learn, well-organized, autonomous, solution driven and proactive Fluency in English is mandatory
