Head of People

A. provides private banking and investment advice to Nordic customers living outside their home country. The Bank also offers loans essentially to Nordic customers for permanent or second home in Spain, France and Switzerland. DNB Luxembourg S.
A. was established in Luxembourg in 1985 and presently employs around 50 persons from 16 different nations, gathered in the center of Luxembourg City. We are now recruiting a Head of People, who will report to the Deputy Managing Director. The Head of People is responsible for ensuring the implementation and consistency of HR policies, processes, and standards across the Bank and its representative international offices, while considering local legal and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will maintain close working relationships with the People team at Head Office and key stakeholders across the organization. The role provides strategic direction and oversight of HR activities globally, promoting alignment with the Group's values, governance framework, and business objectives. Operating in a hands-on capacity, the Head of Human Resources combines strategic leadership with active involvement in operational HR activities and is responsible for the management, development, and supervision of the Payroll & Benefits Specialist.
Responsibilities:
• Provide strategic HR leadership and oversight across the Bank & international offices.
• Ensure consistent implementation of Group HR policies, procedures, and standards while accommodating local regulatory and employment law requirements.
• Act as the primary HR Business Partner and point of contact for local management teams within representative offices.
• Manage and oversee all HR activities for international offices, ensuring operational effectiveness, regulatory compliance, and alignment with Group objectives.
• Lead international workforce planning, talent acquisition, succession planning, performance management, and employee development initiatives across all locations.
• Supervise and support the Payroll & Benefits Specialist, ensuring the accurate and timely execution of payroll, benefits administration, HR data management, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Oversee HR administration and employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, contractual changes, promotions, transfers, mobility arrangements, and offboarding activities.
• Manage relationships with external payroll providers, benefits vendors, legal counsel, and other HR service providers across jurisdictions.
• Support international mobility, cross-border employment matters, expatriate management, and remote working arrangements.
• Ensure compliance with employment, social security, immigration, data privacy, and regulatory requirements applicable to the Bank's international operations.
• Prepare and present HR metrics, workforce analytics, regulatory reports, management information, and HR dashboards to senior management and governance committees.
• Manage HR budgets, monitor HR-related costs, and oversee training grants, subsidies, and other available funding opportunities across the Group.
• Support annual compensation reviews, bonus processes, salary benchmarking exercises, and benefits renewals.
• Ensure effective governance and reporting on HR matters across all entities of the Bank.
• Contribute directly to operational HR activities while providing strategic leadership to ensure the effective delivery of HR services across the organisation. Competence and experience
requirements:
• Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years of progressive Human Resources experience, including significant exposure to international and multi-jurisdictional
• environments.
• Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role within the financial services, banking, or regulated industry sector.
• Demonstrated experience managing HR operations, payroll oversight, compensation and benefits, and employee lifecycle processes.
• Experience leading organizational change, transformation projects, and HR-related initiatives across multiple locations.
• Experience managing external service providers, including payroll, benefits, immigration, and legal advisors. Technical qualifications
• Strong understanding of international HR management, governance, and operating models.
• Experience managing HR activities across multiple jurisdictions.
• Sound knowledge of employment law principles and HR best practices in an international environment.
• Knowledge of payroll governance, compensation and benefits administration, and HR operational processes.
• Familiarity with financial sector regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and performance management frameworks.
• Experience with HR reporting, people analytics, budgeting, and HR metrics.
• Ability to navigate cultural differences and support multinational teams.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications. Personal & interpersonal
qualifications:
• Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to inspire, develop, and support employees and managers.
• Ability to influence and collaborate across international teams and jurisdictions.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with senior executives, board members, and regulators.
