Information Security Trainee

The ICT and Security Risk Department of Nomura Bank (Luxembourg) S.
A. is responsible for overseeing the information security, IT and cyber security risks of the Bank. The department defines the security requirements by establishing a comprehensive framework including policies, procedures and controls to respond to evolving threats, business needs and regulatory requirements. In order to support our team with the day-to-day management activities, we are looking for a trainee with a school/university convention for a period of minimum 6 months. Your main tasks will be to:
• Execute independent second-line controls to monitor, manage, and address alerts and threats events within the local SIEM platform, ensuring robust anomaly detection and validation.
• Support the execution, auditing, and validation of critical Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls to ensure strict compliance with internal access policies.
• Assist in the organization, coordination, and data analysis of security awareness initiatives to evaluate employee risk behaviour and control effectiveness.
• Provide support in the daily administrative and operational activities of the Information Security team. Job

requirements:
• Currently enrolled in IT-related studies at the Master’s level – School/University convention required.
• Any cybersecurity-related certificate is desirable.
• Fundamental knowledge of operating systems, networking, cloud, and cybersecurity.
• Fluent in English.
• Excellent command of MS Office.
• Awareness of professional ethics, risk and compliance.
• Analytical thinking and willingness to learn.
• Team player and enthusiasm.
