We are seeking a Senior Water and/or Sewer Design Engineer with water and/or sanitary sewer infrastructure design and water and/or sanitary sewer system planning experience who is motivated by meaningful projects, professional growth, and leadership opportunities. This role offers increasing responsibility, mentorship of junior staff, and direct involvement with clients and communities. What You’ll Do Plan and design public water/sewer infrastructure projects. Accurately and efficiently complete water/sewer system plan updates for municipalities in the State of Washington. Provide hydrology, hydraulics and water resource engineering input and support for environmental baseline, water management, water treatment, permitting, remediation and reclamation projects. Provide pump station, treatment plant, and gravity conveyance design. Development construction documents including plans, specifications, and estimates. Collaborate directly with municipal clients, agencies, and stakeholders. Manage and mentor junior engineers and design staff. Coordinate with contractors and review construction activities for quality and compliance. Manage project budgets, schedules, and deliverables. Develop scopes of work and cost estimates to complete tasks associated with hydrology and water resource engineering. Apply innovative, community-focused solutions to water/sewer infrastructure and planning challenges What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering 10+ years of professional civil engineering experience, with public works or municipal project exposure Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington and Oregon, or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Mike+, PCSWMM and standard project management tools Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with clients Interest in leadership, mentorship, and long-term career growth Work Environment Hybrid/Remote schedule available Candidates must be comfortable commuting to the Vancouver office as needed for collaboration and project demands Compensation & Benefits Salary Range: $120,000 – $170,000 (commensurate with experience and licensure) Benefits Include 401(k) with employer matching Medical insurance Paid time off and paid holidays Performance-based bonus Professional development ‍
