Sri Lanka – Airport / Operational Stations Employment Type: Full-Time Reporting To: Manager – Operations
Key Responsibilities
Flight & Ground Operations
* Supervise daily airline cargo and ground operations.
* Coordinate with GHA, RHA, airport authorities, cargo terminals, and operational partners.
* Monitor flight schedules, aircraft turnaround, cargo movement, and operational delays.
* Coordinate cargo manifests, documentation, and load control requirements. Crew Management & Coordination
* Coordinate crew hotel accommodation and airport transportation.
* Arrange timely crew pick-up and drop-off, ensuring airport arrival at least two hours before scheduled departure, or earlier where operationally required.
* Maintain crew movement schedules, hotel reservations, and transportation records.
* Coordinate with flight operations regarding crew arrival, departure, and schedule changes.
* Assist with crew immigration, airport access, and administrative arrangements where applicable.
* Report crew transportation delays, accommodation issues, and operational disruptions promptly.
* Ensure crew-related information is handled confidentially. Cargo & Commercial Coordination
* Coordinate with GSSA partners, freight forwarders, and cargo handling agents.
* Monitor cargo bookings, uplift, capacity utilization, and operational sales performance.
* Monitor vendor performance and service-level agreements. Compliance & Reporting
* Ensure compliance with applicable aviation safety, security, and operational procedures.
* Prepare daily operational and crew movement reports.
* Maintain accurate records and report operational irregularities.
* Protect confidential company, customer, and crew information. Qualifications & Experience
* Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in airline operations, air cargo, ground handling, or flight operations support.
* Previous supervisory experience preferred.
* Knowledge of airport operations, cargo handling, and crew coordination.
* Familiarity with IATA standards and aviation safety and security requirements.
* Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to manage multiple operational priorities under pressure.
* Good command of English and computer literacy.
* Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
