Software Asset & License Analyst
- w/f We are currently looking for a Software Asset & License Analyst (Intermediate) to join a major European institution based in Luxembourg. This role offers the opportunity to support Software Asset Management (SAM) and Software License Management activities within a complex international IT environment, helping to improve license compliance, optimize software costs, and strengthen governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain and manage software license entitlement records
* Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of licensing data
* Perform software license audits and reconcile entitlements against usage
* Identify unused or underutilized licenses and recommend optimization actions
* Collaborate with technical teams to collect, validate, and maintain licensing data
* Produce compliance reports and provide recommendations for cost savings
* Monitor license terms and contractual changes from software vendors
* Develop dashboards and reporting solutions to support decision-making
* Conduct Effective License Position (ELP) assessments
* Support internal and external software licensing audits Required Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in IT or a relevant field
* Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience
* Fluent English Preferred Skills & Experience
* Experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), Software License Management, Software Procurement, or IT Service Management
* Solid understanding of software licensing models and compliance requirements
* Experience managing volume licensing agreements with major software vendors such as Microsoft, Oracle, and IBM
* Knowledge of on-premises, cloud, and SaaS licensing environments
* Experience reviewing and interpreting software contracts and licensing terms
* Strong analytical, reporting, and data visualization skills
* Advanced Excel knowledge
* Experience with SAM tools such as Flexera, BMC, or similar platforms is considered an asset
