Key Responsibilities
Linux Server Management
* Automate Ubuntu server provisioning using cloud-init, Ansible, or similar configuration management tools ;
* Manage automated patching across Dev, Acceptance, and Production environments, ensuring consistency and availability ;
* Monitor infrastructure health, performance, and logs to proactively identify and resolve issues ;
* Manage and test backup policies and Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP). Cloud Migration & Infrastructure as Code Develop and maintain IaC templates using Terraform or Ansible for sovereign cloud environments ; Contribute to cloud landing zone architecture, including networking, VPCs, IAM, routing, and security ; Plan and execute service and data migrations with minimal production impact. Container Ecosystem & CI/CD Operations Administer, monitor, secure, and scale Docker/Docker Swarm environments and support their migration to the cloud ; Administer GitLab Enterprise, manage secure runner configurations, and optimize CI/CD pipelines ; Manage private container registries (e.g., Harbor), image signing, and vulnerability scanning ; Implement enterprise secrets management and ensure credentials are securely separated from code and pipelines. Experience:
4+ years of experience in Linux Server administration ; Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field ; Proven experience in administering Linux Server environments (ideally Ubuntu and/or Red Hat) including system provisioning, standard maintenance and patch management ; Strong scripting skills (Shell and Python) ; Ability to synthesize, document and explain complex cloud architecture choices to diverse stakeholders. Nice-to-have : Practical experience interacting with OVHcloud, Scaleway, or equivalent platform ; Experience working in container environments using Docker ; Core experience in administering GitLab instances ; Demonstrated experience managing cloud services ; Practical use of Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
