Observability Engineer – Dynatrace / Prometheus / Grafana

Location:
Luxembourg Type of contract : Freelance Contract Start: January 2027 – Mid-March 2027 We are looking for an experienced Observability Engineer to join a technical team and help define and implement a consistent observability strategy across platforms and applications. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana and OpenTelemetry, particularly within Kubernetes/OpenShift environments. Responsibilities Define and implement observability solutions across platforms and applications. Deploy and manage Dynatrace in Kubernetes/OpenShift environments. Work extensively with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and visualization. Implement OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing solutions. Design and maintain dashboards, alerting mechanisms and SLI/SLOs. Monitor Kafka, OpenShift, Keycloak and microservices. Implement and optimize Application Performance Monitoring (APM). Perform log correlation and end-to-end troubleshooting. Define observability standards and best practices that can be adopted by application teams. Provide technical guidance and support to development and platform teams. Profile Proven experience as an Observability Engineer, SRE, DevOps Engineer or similar role. Strong hands-on expertise with Dynatrace. Solid experience with Prometheus and Grafana. Good knowledge of Kubernetes and/or OpenShift environments. Experience with OpenTelemetry and distributed tracing. Strong understanding of APM, monitoring, logging and incident troubleshooting. Experience monitoring Kafka, Keycloak and microservices architectures. Knowledge of SLI/SLO definition and observability best practices. Ability to design scalable and standardized observability solutions. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
