At Fujitsu, we’re looking for an Infrastructure Automation Engineer to support one of our European Institutions’ customers.
You’ll help transform how infrastructure and applications are provisioned, deployed and operated across on-premises and cloud environments. Working alongside infrastructure and operations teams, you’ll turn manual activities and existing automation into consistent, reusable and traceable workflows.
What you’ll do
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible Automation Platform, Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.
• Help migrate AWS CloudFormation and Azure Bicep configurations towards Terraform / OpenTofu, supporting a consistent approach across environments.
• Standardize Ansible playbooks and automation workflows, reducing fragmented tooling and manual interventions.
• Develop and improve GitLab CI/CD pipelines, with deployment workflows adapted to different infrastructure zones.
• Integrate automation with ServiceNow for service requests, change workflows and automated CMDB updates.
• Improve on-premises application deployment through an Ansible-first approach, including consistent deployment records and traceability.
• Support automation across Linux, Windows, virtualization and OpenShift / Kubernetes environments.
• Contribute to centralized task scheduling, monitoring and logging, making automated services easier to operate and troubleshoot.
• Maintain source code, technical documentation and operational procedures in version control.
• Work with technical specialists to identify improvements that increase reliability, accelerate delivery and reduce repetitive work. What you bring
• Practical experience in infrastructure automation, platform engineering or DevOps, supported by a solid systems administration background.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible, ideally including Ansible Automation Platform / AWX.
• Experience with Terraform or OpenTofu and Infrastructure as Code practices.
• Experience building and maintaining GitLab CI/CD pipelines, using Git and applying GitOps principles.
• Scripting skills in languages such as Python, PowerShell or Bash.
• An understanding of hybrid infrastructure, including on-premises platforms and AWS and/or Azure.
• The ability to troubleshoot automation across infrastructure, applications and service management integrations.
• A structured approach to testing, documentation, change management and operational reliability.
• A collaborative mindset and the ability to translate operational needs into maintainable technical solutions. Useful additional experience
• ServiceNow integrations, APIs, service catalogues and CMDB workflows.
• OpenShift / Kubernetes and container deployment automation.
• AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep or Puppet, particularly in migration or modernization projects.
• Rundeck or other scheduling and orchestration tools.
• ELK, Grafana, Prometheus or comparable monitoring and logging platforms.
• VMware / vSphere, Nutanix or automation involving network and security platforms.
• Working within ITIL-based operations or a large, complex enterprise environment. You don’t need to know every tool in the landscape. We’re looking for strong automation fundamentals, hands-on engineering skills and the ability to bring consistency to a diverse technical environment. Why join?
• Contribute to the modernization of infrastructure services for a European Institution.
• Take on a practical engineering role with a direct impact on service delivery.
• Work across a broad hybrid technology environment alongside experienced specialists.
• Help shape the move towards self-service, Infrastructure as Code and GitOps.
