UseePay is building its European hub in Luxembourg. Our wholly-owned subsidiary has applied for an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) licence with the CSSF — and we are looking for the person to lead it.
The role
As CEO you will be one of two Authorised Managers, jointly accountable to the Board alongside our CFO under the four-eyes principle — with overall responsibility for strategy, business development and day-to-day operations in Europe.
What you will do
• Set and execute our European business strategy and commercial plan
• Grow our merchant base and build partnerships (PSPs, card schemes, banks, financial associations)
• Launch and scale our core products: e-money accounts, acquiring, virtual card issuance
• Represent the company before the CSSF and EU regulators
• Build and lead the Luxembourg-based team What we are looking for
• 12+ years in payments, fintech or financial services, including 5+ in senior management
• Deep understanding of the European payments market and the EU framework: PSD2, EMD2, LPS
• Hands-on experience in acquiring, e-money issuance, card issuing or payment gateway operations
• Fluent English and French; German or Luxembourgish a strong plus
• Based in Luxembourg, or in a neighbouring country with a daily commute
• Integrity that stands up to CSSF fit-and-proper scrutiny
• Experience with an EMI/PI licence application or direct engagement with the CSSF is highly valued
