About The Role
What if your voice could directly shape how AI communicates with millions of German speakers around the world? We're looking for experienced German-speaking voice actors and voice-over professionals to record high-quality audio and evaluate AI-generated speech — helping the next generation of AI systems sound authentically, unmistakably human. This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for working voice professionals. No AI background needed — just a trained voice, a professional setup, and a sharp ear for quality. What You'll Do
Deliver clear, expressive German-language voice recordings using a large diaphragm microphone (LDM), following provided scripts and prompts Evaluate AI-generated speech for natural flow, pronunciation accuracy, emotional authenticity, and overall quality Provide detailed, structured feedback to help improve synthesized voice outputs Review scripts and suggest adjustments to enhance clarity and ensure natural-sounding delivery Work independently and asynchronously — fully on your own schedule Who You Are Native or near-native fluency in German with a strong command of natural, contemporary spoken German Background in voice acting, narration, audiobooks, dubbing, or related performance-based audio work Reliable access to a large diaphragm microphone and a quiet, acoustically controlled recording space Able to deliver engaging, expressive, and well-articulated vocal performances across a range of tones and styles A sharp ear for nuance — you notice when something sounds off in tone, rhythm, or pronunciation Self-motivated and consistent when working independently Nice to Have Experience evaluating or directing voice-over and audio production Familiarity with regional German accents and dialectal variation Background in broadcast, theatre, e-learning narration, or commercial voice work Prior exposure to AI audio tools or speech synthesis evaluation Why Join Us Work on cutting-edge AI projects alongside leading research labs and Fortune 500 companies Fully remote and flexible — record and evaluate on your own schedule, from your own studio Freelance autonomy with the structure of clear, task-based work and well-defined goals Your voice directly contributes to AI systems that shape how technology speaks to the world Gain firsthand exposure to state-of-the-art large language models and AI speech training workflows Top contributors may be invited to lead new initiatives as the project grows
