Responsibilities:
Administering and engineering the OpenShift / Kubernetes platform Maintaining and improving the platform to support development and application teams Managing namespaces, projects and associated platform configurations Configuring and maintaining networking components, ingress, routes and connectivity Managing storage solutions, persistent volumes and application secrets Deploying, configuring and maintaining Operators and platform components Managing the lifecycle and upgrades of OpenShift platform services Implementing and maintaining Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) policies Supporting integration with Identity and Access Management mechanisms Troubleshooting complex platform, infrastructure and application issues Monitoring platform performance, availability and reliability Identifying opportunities for performance tuning and optimisation Supporting application and microservices deployment patterns Assisting development teams with the onboarding and deployment of new workloads Ensuring that platform configurations comply with security and operational requirements Contributing to the continuous improvement, stability and scalability of the OpenShift environment Profile: Proven experience as an OpenShift Engineer, Kubernetes Engineer, Platform Engineer or DevOps Engineer Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and Kubernetes Experience administering and maintaining production-grade container platforms Strong knowledge of Kubernetes architecture and core components Experience managing namespaces, networking, ingress, routes, storage and secrets Experience with Operators and the lifecycle management of platform services and components Good understanding of RBAC and Identity & Access Management (IAM) integration Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Experience analysing and improving platform performance and reliability Knowledge of application deployment and microservices architectures Experience working with highly secured and business-critical production environments Experience working within a large-scale enterprise or highly regulated environment would be considered a strong asset.
