As sustainability considerations become increasingly integrated into investment decision-making processes, our Risk Management Function plays a key role in ensuring that both traditional financial risks and sustainability risks are effectively identified, assessed, monitored, and reported. Position Overview We are looking for a motivated and analytical Junior Risk Analyst to join our Risk Management team in Luxembourg. The successful candidate will support the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Company's risk management framework, with particular exposure to sustainability and ESG risk oversight, while also contributing to the monitoring of market, liquidity, credit, counterparty, valuation, and operational risks across UCITS portfolios. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in both traditional investment risk management and sustainable finance within a dynamic and international asset management environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the Risk Team in the identification, assessment, monitoring, and reporting of risks associated with UCITS funds, including market, credit, counterparty, liquidity, valuation, operational, and sustainability risks;
• Contribute to the implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of the Company's Sustainability Risk Framework;
• Assist in the monitoring and assessment of sustainability risks at portfolio and fund level, including climate-related and ESG-related risk factors;
• Participate in the monitoring of ESG investment restrictions and sustainability-related investment limits;
• Support the oversight of SFDR-related requirements and the monitoring of funds classified under Article 8 and Article 9;
• Assist with the analysis of ESG data, sustainability indicators, and Principal Adverse Impact (PAI) metrics;
• Contribute to the assessment of ESG data quality and consistency across different data providers;
• Prepare regular risk reports, dashboards, presentations, and analyses for Senior Management, Board members, and regulatory authorities;
• Conduct ad hoc quantitative and qualitative analyses on portfolio risks and investment strategies;
• Support the development and automation of risk monitoring tools and processes;
• Monitor regulatory developments and industry best practices relating to risk management, sustainable finance, ESG integration, and UCITS regulation;
• Assist in maintaining up-to-date Risk Management policies, procedures, and governance documentation. Qualifications
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, Sustainability, or a related field;
• Basic understanding of financial markets, investment products, and risk management concepts;
• Strong interest in ESG investing, sustainable finance, and sustainability risk management;
• Knowledge of SFDR, sustainable investing concepts, or ESG methodologies would be considered an advantage;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word is required;
• Knowledge of VBA, Python, Power BI, SQL, or other analytical tools would be considered a strong advantage;
• Excellent written and spoken English;
• Knowledge of Italian and/or French would be considered a plus.
