Job Summary
For an important customer IS belonging to the world of research located in Luxembourg (Esch Sur l'Alzette) we are looking for an Animal Technician. The resource will be included in the team operating in the structure.
Main responsibilities related to the position are the management of genetically modified colonies in isolators.
Performs daily colony health examinations and clinical observations of sick animals prior to reporting adverse findings to Clinical Veterinarian.
• Assist with maintaining Rodent Colony Health surveillance program and submission.
• Provides technical support
• Actively interacts with management, facility veterinarian (s) and investigators as required to solve customer requests, inquiries, and complaints and to provide technical assistance.
• Provides environmental enrichment feed and other enrichment stimuli and / or provide behavioral assessments.
• As needed, performs animal husbandry
- which can include feed, watering, and cleaning cages as required. Job Qualifications Certification: Candidate should possess a FELASA certificate or equivalent
Experience:
At least 2 years of experience in this area In line with European regulations on pay transparency, this position carries an indicative salary range of €42.000–€44.000 gross per annum for full-time work (to be pro-rated based on the part-time percentage), commensurate with the candidate's experience, skills, and professional background.
