Context
• We are seeking an experienced network consultant to join our network team located in Luxembourg and assist in the design, implementation, and validation of this segmentation. He/She will be able to support the day-to-day operations (Run) and lead the implementation of network flows within a complex and secure banking infrastructure. The consultant will work closely with internal teams (infrastructure, security, application owners) to ensure timely, high-quality delivery of network changes and configurations Responsibilities As a network engineer, you are able to:
• Collaborate with the network team to analyze the current network infrastructure.
• Design and implement network strategies to enhance security and performance.
• Manage and implement network flows (firewall rules, load balancer configurations) across environments.
• Configure and maintain Palo Alto and Cisco ASA/Firepower firewalls.
• Ensure compliance with internal security and change management processes.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network-related incidents and requests.
• Maintain clear and proactive communication with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of each request.
• Document configurations, changes, and procedures.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure migrations and new deployments. Requirements Proven experience as a network consultant or similar role.
• Expertise in network technologies, including: Palo Alto firewalls (PanOS, security policies, NAT, App-ID)
• Cisco ASA/Firepower (ACLs, NAT, FTD, FMC)
•
• Load balancers (F5 or equivalent)
• TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLANs, VPNs
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, including application teams.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Preferred Qualifications
• You hold a master's degree in IT
• You are fluent in French and in English
• You have specific knowledge on technologies such as Routing, Switching, Firewalling, NAC, DNS,
• VPN, Load balancing on Cisco, Palo Alto and F5 appliances
• Certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent and/or knowledge of cloud networking solutions is a plus.
• Knowledge of cloud networking solutions is a plus
