Your area of work: As an intern (f/m/d) in Clearstream Treasury you will join the team responsible for treasury credit and default management topics across Clearstream entities. You will gain deep, hands-on exposure to how an international central securities depository (ICSD) and post-trade market infrastructure manages credit risk, collateralized exposures, and liquidity buffers under robust risk frameworks. During your internship, you will actively contribute to key strategic analyses on collateral frameworks—evaluating emerging asset classes and risk mitigation methodologies—while driving digital transformation and process automation. Note on the scope: The specific allocation and depth of assigned topics is flexible and subject to change based on the duration, timing, and operational priorities of the internship. Your

responsibilities:
• Crypto & Digital Assets Analysis: Conduct structured research into crypto/digital assets and analyze their pros and cons as potential collateral for client business, evaluating market, liquidity, operational, and regulatory aspects.
• Collateral & Haircut Methodologies: Support the quantitative and qualitative evaluation of haircut methodologies applied to collateral accepted in reverse repo and secured financing transactions.
• Process Automation & Tech Collaboration: Support the automation of Treasury processes and reporting workflows—working autonomously on rapid scripting/tooling or in close cooperation with IT for more complex system implementations.
• Treasury Credit & Default Management: Gain practical exposure into Clearstream’s credit operating model, learning how the business steers credit capacity across the lifecycle, evaluates resource consumption (credit, liquidity and collateral), and integrates default management readiness.
• Ad-hoc Analysis & Presentations: Prepare financial data analyses, management summaries, and presentation decks for internal committees and team decision-making.
