Engineer AI Solutions

Task

responsibilities:
• Design and develop AI-powered applications: You will build, maintain and enhance production-ready AI solutions using Python, LLM APIs, RAG, vector search and AI agents, translating business needs into scalable and practical applications.
• Collaborate on architecture and technical design: You will work closely with architects and technical stakeholders to shape application architecture, evaluate technologies and define secure, scalable and maintainable solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.
• Build and integrate backend services: You will develop and integrate REST APIs, asynchronous workflows, event-driven services, databases and cloud storage, ensuring reliable connectivity between AI solutions and enterprise systems.
• Deliver and operate cloud-native solutions: You will deploy and maintain applications on Microsoft Azure, leveraging Azure AI services and cloud-native capabilities while ensuring performance, scalability and operational reliability.
• Drive engineering quality and secure development: You will apply software engineering best practices, support automated testing, code reviews and secure coding principles, while implementing appropriate identity and access management, secrets handling and monitoring.
• Automate software delivery through DevOps: You will contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and deployments, and infrastructure automation. You will also create, refine and manage user stories, tasks and bugs in Azure DevOps, ensuring clear requirements, acceptance criteria and delivery traceability.
• Evaluate and continuously improve AI solutions: You will assess AI application quality, retrieval relevance, response accuracy, performance and cost, while contributing to prompt and model versioning, AI observability, security safeguards and responsible AI practices.
• Collaborate in an Agile, cross-functional environment: You will work with technical teams, business stakeholders and end users using Kanban and continuous feedback to prioritize work, manage workflow, clarify requirements, challenge assumptions constructively and deliver measurable business value. Essential Requirements For The Position:
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Strong professional experience developing production software with Python, including API development, asynchronous processing, testing and dependency management.
• Good knowledge of software engineering principles, object-oriented and modular design, clean code, design patterns, DevOps and Git workflows, automated testing and code review.
• Hands-on experience with cloud application development and deployment on Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, containers and automated deployment.
• Experience integrating REST APIs, event-driven services, relational or NoSQL databases and cloud storage.
• Understanding of application security, identity and access management, secrets handling, secure coding, monitoring and operational support.
• Practical experience building solutions that use LLM APIs, RAG, vector search or AI agents is mandatory.
• Experience with Microsoft Azure AI Foundry, Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Semantic Kernel, LangChain or comparable platforms and frameworks is a strong advantage.
• Experience with frontend development using React is an advantage, but the role is primarily focused on Python and backend engineering.
• Experience with MLOps, model evaluation, prompt/version management, AI observability or responsible AI controls is an advantage.
• Ability to understand business processes, challenge assumptions constructively and translate ambiguous needs into practical technical solutions.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across technical and non-technical teams.
• Professional proficiency in English. French, German or Luxembourgish is an advantage. Working
