We are now looking for a Junior Associate to join our Banking & Finance team in Luxembourg. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious junior lawyer to develop their expertise in banking and finance law, working closely with experienced senior professionals and gaining meaningful exposure to international transactions and clients from day one.
About the team
Our Luxembourg Banking & Finance team advises institutional clients on a broad range of domestic and international financing transactions. Working as part of a close-knit team, you will have the opportunity to collaborate directly with senior lawyers and partners on complex, cross-border matters.
The team’s expertise spans a wide range of financing work, including:

• Fund finance
• Acquisition finance
• Asset finance
• Structured finance and securitisations
• Cross-border financing transactions and securities issuances The team combines strong technical expertise with a pragmatic, commercially focused approach to client service. You will work in an international environment where English is the common working language, alongside colleagues and clients from a variety of jurisdictions. The role As a Junior Associate, you will work closely with our Partner in the Banking & Finance Group, and other senior professionals across the team. You will be involved in a variety of banking and finance transactions from an early stage, supporting matters throughout the transaction lifecycle and developing your technical knowledge and commercial understanding. You will also have the opportunity to build direct relationships with clients and take on increasing responsibility as your experience grows. Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting with domestic and international banking and finance transactions
• Drafting and reviewing transaction documentation and other legal documents
• Conducting legal research and providing support on a range of financing matters
• Working directly with partners and senior lawyers on transaction structuring and execution
• Communicating with clients and other parties involved in transactions
• Contributing to the efficient delivery of high-quality, commercially focused legal advice As part of a small team, you will benefit from close supervision, direct partner interaction and the opportunity to learn through hands-on experience. The role is primarily focused on banking and finance, with the potential to gain some exposure to related corporate matters where appropriate. • A strong interest in banking and finance transactions and an appetite to develop your technical expertise
• Strong drafting, analytical and organisational skills, with excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work effectively as part of a small, collaborative team while managing competing priorities
• A proactive, flexible and hands-on approach, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and learn from experienced colleagues
• Excellent English language skills; French and/or German would be an advantage English is essential, as it is the team's common working language. French and German language skills are highly valued given the Luxembourg market and the team's international client base, but candidates with excellent English and a willingness to develop their additional language skills are encouraged to apply.
