Amazon is seeking an experienced compliance professional with regulatory expertise in product safety and consumer protection to serve as a Display Compliance Program Manager. In this role you will drive the implementation and quality of mandatory compliance information displays across Amazon's EU and international storefronts, ensuring customers see accurate, well-placed regulatory information throughout their shopping journey. The successful candidate will work across regulatory program teams, legal, engineering, and business stakeholders to define display requirements, drive implementation roadmaps, and coordinate delivery of compliant display solutions across product detail pages, checkout, search, and advertising surfaces. The Program Manager will navigate complex regulatory landscapes across multiple EU jurisdictions, manage competing priorities from domain programs, and partner closely with technical teams to deliver compliant display solutions at scale. This role will also engage externally with regulatory bodies and support responses to regulatory inquiries and enforcement actions. Key job responsibilities
• Define display compliance requirements for EU and international regulatory frameworks (e.g., product safety, energy labeling, food information, radio equipment, packaging/takeback, chemical labeling), translating legal obligations into clear functional requirements for engineering teams.
• Own the end-to-end display implementation roadmap: intake regulatory requirements, scope and prioritize displays, coordinate cross-functional delivery with engineering teams, and drive launch readiness across multiple marketplaces.
• Actively contribute to technical delivery processes — participating in requirements documentation, user acceptance testing, and technical design discussions — ensuring compliance requirements are accurately reflected in implementation.
• Maintain a horizon view of evolving EU regulatory requirements to detect and respond to new display obligations; proactively scope and sequence implementation to prevent reactive escalations.
• Drive cross-functional coordination between regulatory program teams, legal, engineering, and business stakeholders to resolve implementation blockers, negotiate timelines, and align competing priorities across multiple concurrent workstreams.
• Manage regulatory escalations and enforcement responses related to display compliance gaps — including authority inquiries, potential fines, and high-severity incidents — ensuring timely resolution and clear stakeholder communication.
• Partner with quality assurance and data accuracy teams to define and maintain display quality standards, including placement accuracy, information accuracy, and format compliance.
• Enable display compliance for new shopping formats and surfaces by creating scalable onboarding frameworks and requirement mappings that can be reused across launches.
• Prepare reports and status communications to senior management with timely, actionable intelligence on display coverage metrics, quality gaps, regulatory risks, and program health.
• Identify and implement Generative AI solutions to scale compliance monitoring, improve detection capabilities, and streamline regulatory workflows while ensuring responsible AI use aligned with internal policies. About the team The Display Compliance team sits within Amazon's regulatory compliance organization for EU and international stores, protecting customers, brands, and selling partners by ensuring mandatory product compliance information is accurately and prominently displayed across all customer-facing surfaces.
