Technical Product Manager – Exchange-Traded Fund Brown Brothers Harriman (BBH) is currently recruiting for a Technical Product Manager with specialism in Exchange Traded Fund to join our team. This role will play a key part in identifying, shaping and delivering innovative product solutions that address the evolving needs of our clients and the ETF business. The Technical Product Manager will work across business, product, technology and change functions to translate market and client needs into scalable product solutions. This individual will help shape the product strategy and roadmap, assess opportunities and ensure solutions deliver meaningful value for clients while balancing commercial, technical and operational considerations.

Key Responsibilities
Product Discovery & Strategy
• Identify and understand emerging market needs and opportunities for new product development.
• Understand and define the specific needs of clients, prospects and internal stakeholders.
• Evaluate the legal, regulatory, technical and operational environment relevant to new product opportunities.
• Design and conceptualise potential product solutions, translating business needs into clear and actionable product requirements.
• Develop and document detailed use cases to support product development and decision-making.
• Support Product Heads in assessing the commercial desirability, viability and technical feasibility of new product opportunities.
• Understand the value proposition of proposed products and support ongoing go/no-go decisions based on overall business value and ROI. Product Design & Development
• Create visual representations of proposed solutions, including functional sketches, schematics, process flows and prototypes.
• Apply business design principles and an understanding of operational processes to develop scalable solutions.
• Leverage knowledge of the broader BBH product suite and technology architecture to maximise the use of existing capabilities and services.
• Identify opportunities to reuse existing product microservices and capabilities, limiting unnecessary new development.
• Iteratively refine product designs based on stakeholder, user and client feedback.
• Ensure product solutions consider scalability, cost, operational efficiency and risk. Collaboration & Delivery
• Partner with Systems, Technology and Change Management teams to assess feasibility, estimate costs and establish appropriate development strategies.
• Constructively challenge design assumptions, technical approaches and development estimates where appropriate.
• Work closely with Change Management to establish timelines, deliverables, responsibilities, risks and appropriate project governance.
• Act as Product Owner within dedicated Agile/Scrum teams, where required, to drive delivery and ensure requirements are clearly defined and met.
• Validate product and functional assumptions with internal business stakeholders to manage cost, scalability and risk.
• Influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders to maintain momentum and deliver agreed product outcomes. Adoption, Client Engagement & Roadmap
• Establish appropriate product adoption targets and measures of success.
• Demonstrate new product capabilities to clients, prospects and internal stakeholders.
• Support the sales process by articulating product capabilities and client value.
• Gather, analyse and incorporate feedback from clients, prospects and users.
• Manage client expectations throughout product development and implementation.
• Support client rollout and adoption while ensuring appropriate internal stakeholder alignment and buy-in.
• Maintain and evolve the product roadmap based on market developments, client feedback and emerging business needs. Skills & Experience The successful candidate will bring a combination of business, product, technical and analytical expertise, together with the ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholder groups. Key skills and experience include:
• Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to identify core business problems and opportunities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex challenges into practical product solutions.
• A forward-looking approach to product development, with the ability to anticipate future challenges and evolve the product roadmap accordingly.
• Technical understanding and the ability to effectively influence and sponsor technology development initiatives.
• Working knowledge of databases and SQL would be advantageous.
• Understanding of project delivery methodologies, particularly Agile development and Scrum.
• Ability to translate concepts into clear visual representations using tools such as PowerPoint, Visio or similar.
• Understanding of data-related challenges and potential technology solutions.
• Strong commercial and ROI mindset, with the ability to assess the value and impact of product decisions.
• Ability to work independently, take ownership and drive initiatives forward.
• Strong communication and influencing skills, including the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
• Comfortable engaging directly with clients and prospects and representing product capabilities externally.
