Test Technician

Located in Bissen

Your responsibilities

  • Preparing samples and executing defined test procedures

  • Documenting all tests, including reporting deviations and recording test conditions

  • Evaluating test results based on defined pass/fail criteria

  • Training new colleagues according to their competencies and responsibilities

  • Documenting internal trainings and maintaining training records

  • Creating basic assembly, setup, and work instructions and test descriptions

  • Reporting test results to the responsible test engineer, as well as organizational issues or abnormal situations to the superior

  • Identifying, blocking, and reporting unsafe equipment or unsafe behavior

  • Proposing process improvements 

  • Adhering to all rules and standards (documentation, 5S, safety, logistics, etc.)

  • Coordinating, programming, and supporting maintenance of resources and devices (CT, MT)

  • Performing tests at customer sites or external service providers when required

  • Supporting the hardware electrical test lab by building test boards/assembling components on PCBs

  • Supporting special hardware assembly requests, such as assembling PCB components or soldering cables on prototyping boards

Your profile

  • Technical degree in electronics, mechanics (BAC Technique) and some years of experience in a technical position

  • Good  mechanical and/or electrical skills are supported by practical, hands‑on experience

  • Basic electronics knowledge, including circuit interpretation, soldering skills, and a hardware‑focused mindset

  • Understanding of international automotive testing standards is considered an advantage

  • Good skills in:

    • Measurement techniques

    • Data collection and evaluation

    • Tool usage 

    • Excel and analyzing data

    • Hardware‑focused mindset

  • Basic knowledge in:

    • SAP

    • MS Office

    • Matlab or Python would be an asset

  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

  • Ability to work independently and with a high level of accuracy

  • A pro-active attitude

  • Fluency in English (spoken and written), German or French is considered an asset
