Reporting to the Chief Legal Officer, the Legal Deputy acts as the second-in-command of the Legal function. The role is responsible for supporting the leadership, management, and development of the Legal team across all legal streams.
- Qualified lawyer admitted to practice in Luxembourg or another European Union jurisdiction.
- LL.M. in Law or equivalent legal qualification.
- Minimum 10-15 years of post-qualification experience.
- Significant experience gained within a law firm, asset management company, management company, regulated financial services business or Big Four environment.
- Strong experience across Investment Funds and Corporate & Commercial legal matters.
- Experience advising senior internal stakeholders and business leaders.
- Experience managing complex legal matters in a multi-jurisdictional environment.
- Previous experience mentoring, supervising or developing legal professionals. Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
- Experience leading legal projects and process improvement initiatives.
- Fluency in English. Additional languages are considered an asset.
- Strong leadership and influencing skills.
- Excellent negotiation capabilities.
- Commercial awareness and strong business acumen. Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Sound judgement and decision-making capability.
- Ability to communicate complex legal matters clearly and pragmatically.
- High degree of autonomy, ownership and accountability.
- Proactive, pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
- Commitment to high professional and ethical standards.
- Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
