Your mission:

You will play a key role in ensuring the availability and quality of Cargolux’s fleet of certified flight simulators and crew training devices.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain, repair and modify electrical / electronic, hydraulic and mechanical components.
  • Perform Corrective & Preventative Maintenance IAW FSTD Regs and TDM spec.
  • Perform checks and apply QTGs, SBs, FSBs.
  • Perform visual DB updates and alignments.
  • Update cyclic DBs and firmware (navDB, Terrain).
  • Calibrate systems to TDM spec.
  • Update / maintain documentation.
  • Manage AOG / disrupted training 0 find solutions to device interruptions. 
  • Troubleshoot system defects.
  • Perform tasks alone or as a team effort.
  • Assist Engineer / TDM Support / Manager in work efforts within the Flight Sim Department.
     

Essential Requirements For The Position:

You are attentive to detail, have an analytical mind, professional in the way you work, at home with mechanical, electrical, computer systems. Ideally, you will have:

  • 3 years experience as a Flight Simulator Technician or have worked in an airline environment with transferable skills.
  • Good knowledge of EASA regs pertaining to simulators.
  • Good knowledge of technical fault finding and rectification
  • Good knowledge of system drawings and aircraft/simulator manuals
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English. Knowledge of a second European language would be an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing demands.

 

Preferred:

  • Flight Simulator Technician experience.
  • Airline related time in a technical role.
  • Experience in computer and network technology.
  • Knowledge of airline cockpit instruments and terminology.
  • Familiarity with aircraft manuals and operational processes.
  • Knowledge of visual IG and projector systems.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic and electrical motion systems.
  • Knowledge of system drawings and circuit diagrams.
  • Knowledge of Computer and Network environments.
  • Further complimentary skills (3D printing, CAD for example).
     

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time, permanent position based in Luxembourg.
  • A Certificate of good conduct (Casier judiciaire, Polizeiliches Führungszeugnis) will be required in case of positive selection.
  • Operates in a 24/7 environment with rotating shifts.
