The EU AMXL 3PL Procurement Team is growing and we are hiring a Procurement Specialist with European-wide scope to join the team in Luxembourg.

Key job responsibilities
- Define and implement sourcing initiatives and contracts to deliver against business objectives and achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers
- Contract management of existing contracts
- Own saving projects and deliver value to the business
- Identify alternate suppliers and/or alternate materials/processes
- Drive effective delivery of the EU AMXL 3PL procurement metrics by leading / supporting projects and initiatives identifying root cause of issues and corrective actions
- Utilize multiple databases and systems to deliver accurate metrics, reporting and analytics to measure effectiveness of team performance
A day in the life
As a Sourcing Specialist, you support the EU AMXL 3PL Procurement and business teams by delivering operational purchasing tasks and specific project assignments, as well as engage in process improvements within the scope of the team. This includes sourcing projects, identifying savings opportunities, leading/ supporting projects and initiatives, documents and training creation, identifying root cause of issues and corrective actions and other support activities aimed at sourcing operations optimization.

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfillment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we’re changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.
We have ambitious plans to expand our specialized fulfillment, sorting, reverse logistics and delivery station nodes across the UK and Europe. While those of us who work in delivery stations will do some night shifts, most of us work during the day. Our team is made up of people across operations, supply chain, business intelligence and program management, and everyone plays a crucial role in growing this part of the business.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor degree
- Previous experience in 3PL Operations or Procurement
- Background in contract management
- Language requirements: Fluency in English and at least 1 European language
- Proficiency in analyzing and preparation of data for management reviews
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strategic Procurement experience
- Experience in Heavy Bulky business
- Background in defining, developing, and implementing procurement initiatives to reduce total cost of ownership and mitigate supply risk
- Experience in spend assessment, market analysis, understanding trends and defining forecast
