**Job Description**:
We are delighted to be working alongside our leading investment client to recruit an experienced tax professional to join their Luxembourg office in a role that combines tax advisory with tax compliance in the context of major infrastructure investments.

This is a stand-alone role, for a professional who is able to combine excellent communication skills with financial literacy, and the ability to oversee a broad range of service providers on a range of taxation issues.
- You will need a strong knowledge of cross border M&A transactions and financing transactions, plus a deep experience in the tax and substance issues relevant to Luxembourg alternative funds, such as VAT, transfer pricing, cross border tax issues and transactions, NWT, NWT, CIT etc.
- You will support effective tax structuring, working with local taxation aspects globally where relevant to the Luxembourg structure.
- You will possess the combination of strong operational and technical knowledge, alongside excellent advisory skills.
- You will be able to monitor tax developments and respond to regulatory change, engage with international counsel on a range of tax related issues, and ensure the tax affairs are well maintained so that the fund is protected from a substance perspective
- You will provide support on tax compliance issues, on FATCA, CRS, and support tax audits, and provide support on the tax issues relevant to the consolidated or stand-alone financial statements
- You will ensure that third parties comply with their obligations under agreed SLAs, (such as submission of filings, VAT returns, etc)., and identify scope for service improvements where appropriate
- You will be a team player and enjoy working in a relatively flat structure

To be considered for this role:

- The role requires excellent English language skills, and ideally professional knowledge of French, though this isn't essential.
- Strong knowledge of Luxembourg fund structures and associated tax risks
- You will have strong Excel skills, and the ability to see the detail as well as high-level issues.
- To be considered, you must have current experience working as a tax advisor in Luxembourg.
