The Amazon Logistics Finance team seeks a Senior Financial Analyst to partner with the AMXL Financial Planning and Analysis teams as build best in class reporting and planning processes to solve AMXL’s speed, quality and cost structure. This role is more than finance: it requires ability to invent, go beyond the standard business rules to “experiment” and “conceive” together with the business partners to find financial sustainable solutions to scale across the world. This role is strategic in nature (business partnering skills and curiosity are a must), and is not a typical Finance role. Key job responsibilities - Support the planning process (long range plan, annual plan, quarterly guidance, and monthly/quarterly business reviews - Provide decision support and strategic guidance for AMXL programs or special projects - Invent new reporting solutions and drive automation/alignment - Maintain controllership of corporate headcount and T&E reporting - Leverage financial knowledge and business acumen to execute ad-hoc projects and analysis, draw conclusions, and present recommendations with little guidance. A typical day in this role provides an opportunity to innovate by building creative solutions with large-scale data mining tools, identifying the high-priority work and projects, and continuously look for areas of improvement, and implement automation in order to reduce your manual work load to focus on delivering insights into the business.
