We are seeking an
**Internal Models Officer for the Risk Unit** for our client, a European Institution for a temporary contract.

Your Responsibilities:

- Collaborate on business requirements and risk management objectives
- Utilize programming skills, particularly in Python, to develop and execute risk models and algorithms
- Conduct data analysis and pre-process large datasets to identify patterns and potential risks
- Assist in formulating and implementing risk management frameworks, policies, and procedures
- Conduct quantitative analysis to evaluate the impact of potential risks and propose suitable risk mitigation strategies
- Perform model validation and backtesting to ensure the accuracy and reliability of risk models
- Document and communicate complex risk models and methodologies to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner

Your Profile:

- A bachelor's or master's degree in finance, economics, mathematics or a related quantitative field
- Proficient programming skills, especially in Python, with the capability to develop and maintain intricate models and algorithms
- Familiarity with additional programming languages (R or MATLAB) along with experience in databases (SQL)
- Comprehension of finance and risk management concepts, encompassing financial markets, portfolio management and risk measurement techniques
- Competency in data analysis and statistical modeling techniques
- Robust mathematical and analytical skills
- Proficiency in English (both oral and written)
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work
