What You'll Do
New Application and Opportunity Identification- Technical Strategy and Feasibility
- Define technical value proposition, performance targets, and differentiation.
- Lead technical feasibility assessments, including evaluation of performance, scalability, manufacturability, cost structure, and sustainability considerations.
- Identify technical risks, gaps, and development needs, and propose mitigation strategies. Application Development and Validation- Develop and execute testing and validation plans.
- Incorporate customer, market, and technical feedback to refine solutions through iterative development cycles. Cross-Functional and External Collaboration
- Serve as the primary technical interface for new business initiatives, collaborating closely with Tyvek® Healthcare cross-functional teams.
- Establish and leverage external technical collaborations. Portfolio Prioritization and Business Support
- Support business case development by contributing technical assumptions.
- Enable informed decision-making through fact-based technical assessments.
- Provide technical input into opportunity prioritization, portfolio reviews, and stage-gate or governance processes. Transition to Commercialization
- Define technical roadmaps to support transition from early development to commercialization readiness.
- Support effective handover of mature opportunities to Product Management, Business Units, or Technology organizations. What You'll Bring Required
- Master or PhD in Packaging Engineering, Materials Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to translate customer and market needs into technical solutions.
- Proven experience leading cross-functional technical projects in complex or ambiguous environments.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in an agile, exploratory, and fast-paced environment.
- Travel up to 30%. Preferred
- Strong experience in pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing, particularly in lyophilization processes.
- Strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (e.g. GMP Annex 1 and contamination control principles and practices), ISO 15378, ISO 11607, and ICH guidelines.
