**Job Description**:
We are pleased to be working with one of the top five corporate and investment banks in the world as they seek a to add a qualified Accountant to their team.
Our client has been growing steadily for the last 6 years and they continue to do so. They are profitable, stable and secure with a presence of about 100 people in Lux.
The role involves covering the internal accounting function for the bank in Lux. There are a number of interesting projects to get involved with and our client offers good career options.

In this role, some of your key responsibilities would include:
- Accounting function including reconciliations (Lux GAAP to IFRS); reviewing of invoices and expenses; and general maintenance of accounting records for the bank working with treasury; loan department; corporate teams; sales; private banking and trade finance divisions.
- Short form reporting in Lux GAAP and reconciliation to IFRS
- Tax accounting including review transfer pricing calculations (supported by Big 4)
- Preparation of accounts for year-end audit
- In addition to the day-to-day accounting there are a number of special projects.
- Finance Degree preferred, ideally with professional qualifications (e.g. ACCA )
- 3-5 years Big 4 experience in an accounting role with transfer pricing tax experience OR as a Financial Accountant in a bank in Luxembourg (with tax)
- IFRS and LUX GAAP experience
- Tax experience and a desire to continue with tax accounting essential. Transfer pricing tax strongly preferred
- Fluency in English plus another European language considered a plus
