**Reports to Associate Director**

The purpose of this position is to support the VAT team in all compliance and general administrative VAT guidance on Aztec Luxembourg clients' portfolio. **Key responsibilities**:
Clients and business development
- Support the Associate Director in proposing for new VAT services opportunities
- Work effectively within Aztec's multi-service and/or multi-jurisdictional client teams to ensure that information is shared effectively, relationships are built and maintained
- Deliver high levels of client satisfaction across the VAT service client base

People
- Line manage, coach and support the training needs of the VAT team
- Support the VAT team with coordination of day-to-day compliance VAT services and work closely together making sure that clients are getting an excellence service

Operations
- Be the contact person for the Luxembourg VAT authorities
- Coordinate with clients' third-party advisors
- Review the preparation of Luxembourg VAT returns, the review of VAT assessment, other VAT services and ad-hoc projects
- Maintain appropriate records of our clients' VAT affairs, the work we provide on their behalf and associated filings
- Consistently and comprehensively deliver Aztec's internal control framework and processes

Finances
- Support the Associate Director with the development and delivery of the services budget
- Support the Associate Director, the Business Development team in the pricing of new VAT services opportunities

Governance
- Contribute to Group and/or jurisdictional-specific VAT service projects, as required
- Work effectively and collaboratively with the Tax/VAT service teams in other jurisdictions

**Skills, knowledge, expertise**:

- At least 8 years of previous experience preparing and reviewing VAT returns for Luxembourg
- A big 4 accounting firm experience is desirable
- A relevant undergraduate degree (Accounting / Finance / Business) is preferable
- Advanced Microsoft Office, in particular Excel, skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with diverse client teams
- Attention to detail to ensure the delivery of consistent and high standards
- Excellent organisational and people skills
- A commitment and desire to deliver high-levels of client service
- Ability to think critically and creativity work under pressure and within tight deadlines
- Fluency in English and French would be an asset
