Chief Accountant

**Responsibilities**

As a chief accountant you will be responsible for managing the accounting and financial operations of the multiply companies. You will play a critical role in ensuring that financial records are accurate and up-to-date, and that financial statements are prepared in compliance with relevant laws and regulations. You should have strong understanding of accounting and financial practices and regulations and possess strong computer and communication skills.

Your role will be based in Luxembourg City, Cloche d’Or.

Responsibilities include:

- Manage all accounting transactions
- Comply with all company local, state accounting and financial regulations
- General Ledger accounting entries, monthly closing, and reconciliations for multiple entities, including intercompany reconciliations
- Preparation of the financial statements for various standalone entities
- Conducting regular audits of the accounting processes and procedures to identify areas for improvement
- Managing relationships with external auditors, tax authorities, and other financial stakeholders
- Prepare monthly VAT returns for multiple entities
- Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
- Ensure regular financial reporting requirements are completed both accurately and within deadlines
- Keeping up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations and ensuring that the accounting team is informed and trained as needed

**Requirements and skills**

Min requirements include:

- At least 3 years of chief accountant experience in operational company performing month-end procedures
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Understanding of Lux GAAP and generally accepted accounting principles
- Experience working with BOB50
- Good problem-solving and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills
- Good knowledges of Excel
- Spoken and written French and English
