**Partner Funds - Boutique Law Firm, Set Up The Department**

We have the great pleasure to assist one of Luxembourg’s boutique law firms, in its search for a Partner specialized in Alternative Investment Funds.

With offices in Luxembourg and abroad, the law firm provides a real expertise. This is why the firm in Luxembourg is represented by a very skilled and stable team today, and no one is treated like “just a number”. The law firm looks for entrepreneurial people who want to help grow the firm, without having to completely give up their personal life and stay very late in the office every day like in some other law firms.

If you want to continue specializing yourself in alternative investment funds (in different investment strategies) while focusing on business development and the growth of your department, this might be an interesting project for you. You will have the opportunity to **set it up from scratch**, while benefiting from the **firm’s stability and network**, and already existing client requests in terms of investment funds that you can further build on.

Joining this firm is entirely different than joining some firm’s where being Partner does not offer you a real liberty or say to put in place the most efficient methods. Here, **you will not have to follow a foreign headquarter’s decisions** **that make no sense** for Luxembourg. On the contrary, the Luxembourg office is **treated like a fully independent office**, with its own culture and work methods.

- You are in charge of setting up the investment fund department and will therefore be recognized as the expert within the firm. To start, you can already take on the existing client requests in terms of fund set-up and structuring.
- You represent the law firm on the Luxembourgish market and participate in networking events in Luxembourg or even abroad.
- Your commercial mindset allows you to approach prospective clients and help develop the portfolio.
- You set up the most efficient procedures for the department while already benefiting from the stability of several other departments and the law firm in general.
- You maintain a strong relationship with your clients and offer counsel on the best possible strategy in terms of investments. You are in charge of developing your team, either by bringing on associates (junior to senior) you have worked with or by identifying good talents on the market.

- You can easily communicate in **English and French**, meaning that you can hold professional conversations without any issue with international clients. You will deal with **regulated and unregulated alternative investment funds**.
- You have **10 years of experience or more** in a Law firm in Luxembourg and have specialized in alternative investment funds. You are currently Counsel or Partner in a law firm in the Grand Duchy, or held this position recently.
- You enjoy coaching and have had the opportunity to do so, and you would like to act as a mentor for trainees and less experienced associates.
- You care about providing your clients with a highly personalized service and you are proactive in the way you handle your files. Having portable business is a strong advantage and will be recognized both financially and in the project itself.
