**How you'll add value**:
**The Import/Export Compliance Analyst must have**:

- Strong working knowledge of international business practices and EU customs requirements. General understanding of Customs Regulations in the US and Asia.
- Thoroughly familiar with international shipping documents such as commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill, and export license; including consignee information, INCOTERMS, harmonized tariff code and nomenclature, country of origin, customs value, export classification, and permit or license data.

**What you'll do**
- Analyze and interpret import and export regulations and maintain current knowledge of changes
- Interfaces with internal / external customers, foreign subsidiaries, distributors, vendors, brokers and carriers to ensure compliance with all applicable import / export regulations
- Responsible for maintaining internal controls program to ensure compliance with federal and foreign regulations governing the shipment, receipt and documentation of imported/exported products
- Reviews and clears/escalates denied party screen hits
- Determines product eligibility for trade agreements
- Participates in continuous improvement process related to Azenta’s Trade Compliance Program and manages document revisions of internal controls and procedures
- Conducts periodic export and import self-assessments of Azenta’s Compliance policies and procedures and implements any necessary corrective actions
- Interacts with EU Customs, Trade Authorities and presents to Azenta Senior Management on trade compliance matters
- Collaborates with procurement, finance, tax, product marketing, logistics, order entry, and engineering functions as required
- Develops and conducts trade compliance training; administers training records
- Maintains and ensures the highest level of ethical standards
- Some travel required

**What you'll bring**
- Bachelor’s in business, Logistics, or related field, and at least 5 years in Import/Export experience required
- Customs Compliance Training through accredited program preferred
- Strong working knowledge of international business practices and EU customs requirements. Understanding of Customs Regulations in the US and Asia.
- Experience with Biological / Biotech Samples and Medical Devices considered a plus.
- Thoroughly familiar with international shipping documents such as commercial invoice, packing list, air waybill, and export license; including consignee information, INCOTERMS, harmonized tariff code and nomenclature, country of origin, customs value, export classification, and license data
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Requires advanced Excel skills and ability to interpret data
- Must have familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Oracle
- Leadership Qualifications

- Possess excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to solve problems in a complex and dynamic environment
- Must be a team player and self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
