About the Role
Be part of a dynamic, international team shaping the future of sport, management, and digital strategy. As Assistant Professor, you'll drive academic governance, teaching and research excellence and lead the coordination and management of the academic programme, while shaping the department's industry partnership strategy. -
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the coordination, management and accreditation cycles of the Master's Sport Management & Digital Strategy, both in person and blended delivery format.
- Coordinate and lecture across master’s and bachelor’s levels, demonstrating excellent scholarly teaching.
- Lead and grow the department's industry partner network at a high-profile and international calibre, including inter(national) sport federations, global sports brands, and athlete management/sport agencies.
- Establish and lead a high-quality research profile; secure research funding and lead research projects; expand international research networks and partnerships.
- Represent the institution at academic and professional forums and lead recruitment/promotional activities. - Areas of Expertise Required

- Doctoral degree in a relevant field and/or significant experience in industry
- Demonstrated record of scholarly and/or professional achievement in the discipline
- Established or emerging high-quality research profile, including funding and/or project leadership
- Experience developing and leading high-profile industry/employer partnerships
- Experience in managing accreditation cycles
- Desirable Criteria_
- Subject expertise across the department's areas of teaching (see Areas of Expertise)
- Experience leading coordination/administration of an academic programme
- Experience with blended/hybrid programme delivery, including programme leadership
- International research network or partnerships - Personal Competencies
- Enthusiastic, proactive and self-motivated
- Dynamic and adaptable
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to build and sustain relationships with students, colleagues, and external partners.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills (C1/C2), French or German is an advantage.
